  <p>Information: Mrs. Magdalene Boggess Gerwig Westfall, 78, of Goldtown, WV, died Tuesday, November 7, 2000 at home following a short illness.  She was born May 1, 1922 at Goldtown, WV a daughter of the late Estel and Pheba Bumgardner Boggess.  She attended the Otterbein German Reform Church, Braxton County and Fisher Memorial Church in Goldtown.  She was a member of the Chapel Farm Women&#39;s Club. She was an auxiliary volunteer at the Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.  She was engaged in dairy and beef cattle farming in Braxton County and a former employee of the City of Gassaway.  She is survived by a brother, Darrell Boggess of Ravenswood, WV; two sisters, Phyllis J. Boggess and Dortha Hedrick both of Goldtown WV; nieces, Marsha Boggess, Charleston WV and Barbara Sharon Boggess of Hurricane; nephew, Dr. Kevin Boggess of Charleston WV.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands, Kemp Gerwig and Brooks Westfall, a brother, Clifton Boggess and a nephew, Kyle Boggess. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2000 at the Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley WV with Rev. Carl Chambers officiating.  Graveside services and burial was at 3 p.m. at the Gerwig Cemetery, Chapel Road, Braxton County, WV.  Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.</p>
