Information: Mary Matilda (Swank) Brabham, daughter of Jacob and Jane (Brownrigg) Swank, was born July 3, 1851 in Noble county, Ohio.  She was united in marriage to Edward Mebras Brabham who preceded her in death several years ago.  She departed this life, April 13, 1934; aged eighty-two years, nine months, ten days.  Surviving are the following children:  Mack Brabham of Gallipolis, Ohio, Clavis W. and John Brabham, both of Gay, West Virginia, William Brabham of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Mrs. Icy Carpenter of Parkersburg, West Virginia and Mrs. Myrtle Evans of Akron, Ohio.  Aside from these the deceased leaves behind two sisters, Mrs. Cerenta Fidara Patterson and Mrs. Eva Pickinpaugh, both of Caldwell, Ohio; fifty-nine grandchildren; sixty-four great-grandchildren; besides a number of other relatives and close friends.  Two children, Clarence Brabham and Mrs. Eva Morningstar having preceded her in death several years ago.      Funeral services were held on Sunday evening at 2:00 o'clock at the Mt. Herman church.  Services were conducted by Rev. Corbitt Sayre and Undertaker G. W. Dye.  Pallbearers were Daniel Evans, Edward Carpenter, Delmar, Earl, Fulton and Clarence Brabham.  Flower girls were Mrs. Lillian Jenkins, Mrs. Eva Hickman, Mrs. Naomi Skidmore, Miss Beulah Carpenter and Misses Lena and Iona Brabham.       Mrs. Brabham, or ""Grandma"", as she was commonly called by everyone, was laid to rest in Mt. Herman cemetery amid the scenes she loved so well and where most of her life was spent.  She was converted in early youth and joined the Mt. Herman Methodist Protestant Church.  Having passed through almost two years of illness, yet she uttered no word of complaint.  Her patience seemed unlimited, her thoughts were always for the comfort of others.  As a wife and mother, she was a shining example of beauty; of a friend she was loyal and true.  Proof of her many friends was established by the beautiful floral offerings and large crowd in attendance at her funeral.  ""Grandma"" was a friend to everyone and was known and loved by all, having been a pioneer citizen in her community.  She had a remarkable memory and never failed to remvember everyone's birthday.   She has always had exceedingly good health until the last fwew years when she suffered a paralytic stroke. .........
