  <p>Information: Leon Noel Wells, 66, of Sandyville, died at his home, August 16, 1988, following a short illness.  He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Thomas and Della Culvir Wells.  He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and retired from Kaiser Aluminum.  He was a mechanic and a farmer.  Surviving:  wife, Irene Fisher Wells; one son, Joe Wells of Sandyville; one daughter, Connie Wells of Sandyville; one brother, Cecil Wells of Sandyville; four sisters, Hazel Arthur of Baltimore, Ohio, Berndina Bower of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Norma Bumgardner of Palestine, and Tinney Lemley of Rockport, Ohio; one grandchild.  Services were Friday at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Melvin Conley and the Rev. Paul Parsons officiating.  Burial was in Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.</p>
