Information: Mrs. Lettie Gillespie Weinberg, 83, of Canton, formerly of Ravenswood, died Sept. 20, 1991, in a Canton hospital of a long illness.  She was a lifetime member of National Education Association and West Virginia Association  of Retired School Employees.  She was a member of Daughters of American Revolution and Delta Kappa Gamma Society.  She was a graduate of West Virginia University and taught vocational home economics in Jackson County, W. Va. for 30 years.  She taught for 5 years in Meigs and Guernsey counties.  She was a charter member of the Statue of Liberty Ellis Island Foundation.  Surviving: stepdaughter, Carolyn Sonkin of Venice, Fla.; nephews, Claude Warth of Ravenswood, James Gillespie of Cresco, Iowa; nieces, Oma Jean Fisher of Hartville, Margaret Starks of Knoxville, Tenn., Beulah Gillespie of New Martinsville, W. Va.  Service was Monday at First Baptist Church, Ravenswood, with the Rev. James E. Cunningham officiating.  Burial was in Ravenswood Cemetery.  Casto Funeral Home, Evans was in charge of arrangements.
