Information: HUSBAND DIES, WIFE INJURED - Nathaniel L. Weekley, a native of Sandyville, died at the St. Joseph's Hospital Saturday after an illness of two weeks. His wife, the former Blanche Archer, has been a patient in Selby Hospital at Marietta since May 1 when she received a broken hip in a car-pedestrian accident. Mr. Weekley had been staying with his brother, McKinley Weekley, at Sandyville, since his wife was injured, until he himself was taken to the hospital. He was born in Noble county, O., a son of the late Levi and Jane Bates Weekley. When he was four years of age, the family moved to Jackson county, where he grew up. Besides his widow, he is survived by a brother, McKinley Weekley, and a sister, Mrs. John Waskey, both of Sandyville, and several nephews and nieces. He was a member of the Williamstown Methodist Church and of its Men's Bible Class. A graduate of Mountain State Business College, he was, as a young man, a bookkeeper for several coal companies in West Virginia, and later, was a merchant in West Marietta for many years. The funeral service was held at Marietta on Monday morning and the body was brought to the Independence cemetery at Sandyville where graveside rites were conducted. Rev. James Woodell conducted both services.
