Information: RAVENSWOOD - George W. Weekley, 85, of Ravenswood, Jackson County, departed this life February 22, 1999 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, following an extended illness. He was born August 6, 1913, at Ripley, WV, a son of the late O. J. and Effie (Bosworth) Weekley.  He was a graduate of Union High School, Cottageville, and was a dairy farmer.  He was a member of the International Laborers Union Local #1085 and was a retired supervisor for the WV Department of Transportation.  He ws a lifelong member of the Flatwoods United Methodist Church, where he served on the Board of Trustees.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy (Ankrum) Weekley; son, Roger Weekley of Doylestown, Ohio; daughters, Elizabeth Reber of Jacksonville, FL., and Marjorie Flanigan of Ravenswood; sister, Bernice Gross of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Oliver, Raymond and John.  Funeral services will be Thursday, February 25, 1999 at 11 :00 a.m. at Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with the Rev. Gerald Sayre and the Rev. Rodney McColligan officiating.  Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery.  Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday (today) at Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Flatwoods United Methodist Church building fund, c/o Georgia Boggs, Rt. 1, Box 61, Ravenswood, WV 26164.
