Information: Amanda I. Smith Webster, daughter of Jackson Smith, deceased, was born March 27, 1849 and died January 6, 1923, age 73 years, 9 months and 9 days.  She was united in marriage to S. S. Webster, January 14, 1966.  To this union 6 children were born, 5 of whom survive, viz:  N. D. Webster, Millwood, W.Va., Scott of Pittsburg, Pa., Miller of Denver, Colorado, Mrs. A. Shinn of Millwood, W. Va., and Mrs. P. B. Maynard of Williamson, W. Va.  She is also survived by her husband, S. S. Webster, and a host of relatives and friends who deeply mourn her death.  Mrs. Webster was converted when she was 13 years old and joined the Hopewell Baptist Church at Mt. Alto and has been a faithful worker in the church ever since.  Her highest inspirations were to walk in the paths of truth and right, as was evidenced by her many friends who loved her and for many years have learned to come to her for council and advice.  The funeral services were conducted by Rev. John Fox of Ravenswood, after which she was laid to rest in the cemetery at Mt. Alto.    (copied by Ada Ruth Sayre)
