Information: James U. Walsh, 87, of Ripley, died Feb. 7, 1989, at home after a short illness.  He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.  He was a graduate of University of Pittsburgh.  He was an Army veteran.  He was a retired engineer with the Ordnance Plant, Point Pleasant, and state Department of Highways.  Surviving:  wife, Adele Walsh.  Service was Friday at St. John's Episcopal Church, Ripley, with the Rev. Elizabeth Walker officiating.  Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, was in charge of arrangements.  The family suggests donations be made to St. John's Episcopal Church or Ripley Volunteer Fire Department.
