  <p>Information: Harold ""Shorty"" Walker, 70, of Ripley, died Sunday at his home following a long illness.  He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Matt and Maudie Casto Walker.  He was a World War II veteran, a retired boilermaker and a member of the Local 667, AF & AM No. 16, Ripley.  He is survived by his wife, Elva Walker; two sons, Lakin Walker of Mount Juliant, Tenn., and James Walker of Ripley; one broher, Virgil Walker of Ripley; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Keith.  Services will be 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Jack Berry officiating.  Burial will be in Parsons Cemetery, Gay.</p>
