Information: Mrs. Goldie Myrtle Vannest, 78, of Millwood, Rt. 2, died Friday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ora Haas of Millwood following an apparent heart attack.  Born at Ripley, she was a daughter of the late Joe Donavan and Emma Young Donavan.  She was a member of the Pleasant View United Methodist Church and the Pleasant View Ladies Aid.  Survivors in addition to her daughter include another daughter, Mrs. Orpha Stalnaker of Long Bottom, O.; three sons, Clyde and Clair Vannest both of Ravenswood and Curtis Vannest of Newark, O.; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Fields of Staats Mills, Mrs. Edith Withrow of Charleston and Mrs. Addie Harpold of Cottageville.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Vannest.  Funeral services were held Sunday at the Pleasant View United Methodist Church with the Rev. Armour Sayre and the Rev. Marvin Miller officiating.  Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery.  Mrs. Vannest had lived in the Millwood area for many years where she has many friends who mourn her death.
