  <p>Information: Clyde Dewitt Vannest, 75, Route 1, Ravenswood, a retired construction worker and farmer, died Saturday in Jackson General Hospital after a long illness.  Born at Gay, son of the late John and Goldie Donavan Vannest, he was a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School superintendent and teacher.  He also was a member of AFL-CIO Labor Union.  Survivors include his wife, Sarah Ball Vannest; a daughter, Mrs. William (Betty) Abels; two sons, Roy and Joe, and a brother, Clair Vannest, all of Ravenswood; two sisters, Mrs. Ora Haas of Millwood and Mrs. Orpha Stalnaker Brown of Millwood; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  Services were held Monday at Pleasant View United Methodist Church with the Rev. Armor Sayre officiating.  Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery.  Casto Funeral Home at Evans was in charge of arrangements.</p>
