  <p>Information: Clair Wesley Vannest, 84, of Route 1, Ravenswood, died January 16, 1995, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, following a brief illness.  He was born in Skidmore, WV, son of the late John Milton and Goldie Myrtle Donovan Vannest.  He was a farmer and carpenter, member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Union Lodge #128, Cottageville.  He was a member of Board of Directors, Blaine Memorial Cemetery Association and a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church.  He is survived by his wife, Addie Parsons Vannest; four sons, David of Cottageville, Danny, Doug and Dennis, all of Ravenswood; four daughters, Sharon Harbin, Millwood, Anna Hawkins, Murraysville, Brenda Mahan, Ravenswood, and Patricia Murphy of Summersville; one sister, Ora Haas of Millwood; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and Curtis and one sister, Orpha Brown.  Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Phillip Scarberry officiating. Entombment will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens Mausoleum.  Friends may call at Casto Funeral Home, Evans on Wednesday (today) from 5-9 p.m.</p>
