  <p>Information: William Vandergrift, 64, of Fairmont, died Wednesday evening in Fairmont General Hospital.  He was the brother of Mrs. Mary Jean Abel of Ravenswood.  He was the son of the late Huey and Mabel Williams Vandergrift.  He was born on October 17, 1922.  He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army.  He was a retired warehouse clerk at the Sharon Steel Corporation of Fairmont.  He retired in 1979 with 30 years service.  He was a methodist by faith.  He is survived by his wife, Lucy E. Jordan Vandergrift of Fairmont; three additional sisters, Mrs. Martha (Delphine) Bissell, and Melinda (Wildene) MacMullin both of Philadelphia, PA and Mrs. Mildred Shaven of Jacksonville, FL.; two brothers, Delbert of Panama City, FL and Denzil of Fairmont and several nieces and nephews.  He was proceded in death by a sister, Marguerite Conrad.  Services were to be held at 10 a.m. at the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont with the Rev. Donald Thomas and the Rev. Wayne Vandergrift officiating.  Burial will be in the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Morgantown.</p>
