Information: Funeral services for W. H. Tolley, 75 years old, who died Friday at Leroy, were held at 10 o'clock Monday morning at the Elk View Church with Rev. Harpold officiating.  Interment was in the Halbert Cemetery with the Vail Mortuary in charge.  Mr. Tolley was born in Jackson County and lived practically his entire life as a farmer at Gay.  Ill health caused him to retire from active work about 2 years ago, since when he has been residing with his daughter, Mrs. Dulcie Anderson, at Leroy.  He is survived by two sons, J. B. Tolley, of Leroy, Willie Tolley, of Ohio; six daughters, Mrs. Pearl Higby, of Weston, Mrs. Dulcie Anderson, of Leroy, Mrs. Alda Rhodes, of Letart Falls, Ohio, and Mrs. Willie Rhodes and Mrs. Ethel Rhodes, of Gay; two brothers, C. W. Tolley, of Ripley, and S. O. Tolley, of Gay; a sister, Susan Thompson, of Parkersburg; 37 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. [Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection]
