  <p>Information: Charles Thornhill, Jr., 79, of Ravenswood, died September 9, 2002, at St. Joseph&#39;s Hospital,  Parkersburg WV.  He was born March 5, 1923, in Vulcan WV, a son of the late Charles Thornhill, Sr. and Bessie Moore Thornhill.  He was a U. S. Army veteran who served in World War II.  He retired in 1983 from I & L Department, Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corp. Ravenswood.  He was a member of the Belleville Church of Christ, a member of Steelworkers Local #5668, and an avid motorcycle rider.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Lou Mounts Thornhill of Ravenswood; children, Randall Thornhill and his wife Linda of Ravenswood, and Mary Hinzman-Floyd of Ravenswood; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, David Thornhill and his wife Charlotte of Nashville TN; sisters, Sue Dotson of Phelps KY, Shirley Compton and her husband Sherman of Phelps KY and Delilah Nunn of Ohio.  In additon to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Christian; two sisters; two brothers; and a granddaughter, Nicole Christian.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 12, at 11 a.m. at Roush Funeral Home, with Evangelist Paul Casebolt, Rick Christian and Tim McPherson officiating.  Burial will take place in the Ravenswood Cemetery.  Friends may visit at Roush Funeral Home from 5 to 9 today.</p>
