Information: Lynda Gayle Thompson was born Oct. 9, 1946 in Hinton, W. Va., a daughter of Ronald and Virginia Dare Thompson and was a ninth grade student at the Gilmore school.  She was a member of the Crab Orchard Baptist Church and a member of the Victory Fighters 4-H Club.  Survivors include her parents; a brother, Ronnie, at home; a sister, Melanie, also at home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Thompson of Hinton, and Mrs. Anna Meadows of Crab Orchard.  A joint service was held yesterday afternoon at 1 p.m. in the Gilmore high school for Miss Thompson, Linda Lou Smith and Phyllis Miller.  Officiating were the Rev. Perry Parsons, the Rev. Denver Cooper and the Rev. Earl Seaman.  Schoolmates of the girls acted as pallbearers.  Burial for Miss Thompson was in the Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.  *Kille in Jackson County's worst accident with five others on Rt. 21 at Sandyville.
