  <p>Information: Edith Doyle Thompson, 79, Ripley, died Tuesday, July 4, 1989, at Jackson General Hospital after an extended illness.  She was born June 4, 1910, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Ernest Ferguson Doyle and Edith Pine Doyle.  She was a member of Kenna Extension Homemakers Club.  Survivors:  husband, Donald C. Thompson; sons, Donald Burton, Hawthorne, Fla., Glenn and Benjamin Allen, Ripley; two daughters, Edith McManus, Sue Ann Thompson, Ripley; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held Friday, 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens at Cross Lanes.  Visitation will begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Vail Funeral Home.</p>
