Information: Funeral services for Mrs. Esther A. Thomas, 82, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. L. Evans in Ripley last Wednesday night, were held from the Vail Funeral Home Saturday with Rev. Arthur Layman in charge and the burial was in the Evans Cemetery at Gay.  Mrs. Thomas had been in failing health for some time and earlier last week was brought to the home from a Charleston hospital where she had been a patient.  Surviving in addition to the daughter are a son, W. H. Waybright, of Gay, 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.  The grandsons were pallbearers at the funeral and the granddaughters were flower bearers.
