  <p>Information: William Russell Tanner, 14, of Ripley, died Thursday, March 24, 1988, in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, of injuries received when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a car on U.S. Rt. 21, North Hill.  The driver of the vehicle, Matthew Alderman, 17, was not injured.  No charges were filed. Tanner was a student at Ripley Middle School and a member of Second Baptist Church, Ravenswood.  Surviving:  parents, Richard and Mary Burnside Tanner of Ripley; brother, Timothy, at home; grandparents, Russell and Louise Burnside of Reedy.  Service was Sunday at United Tabernacle, Nebo, with the Rev. John Ellison officiating.  Burial was in Coen Cemetery, Nebo.  Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, was in charge of arrangements.</p>
