Information: DEATH CLAIMS LOCAL FARMER AT HIS HOME - Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Ripley for William Henry Bourgeois, 75, who died Saturday at his home in the Sidneyville community. The Rev. Gerald Sayre and the Rev. William Eaton officiated. Burial was in the Morgan Cemetery. Vail Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bourgeois was born Oct. 18, 1894, in Meigs County, Ohio, the son of the late Paulard and Mary Lewis Bourgeois. He was a retired mercant and farmer and was a member of the Sidneyville E.U.B. Church. Survivors include his wife, Pleasie Sayre Bourgeois, sons, James E. or Ravenswood, Paul and William, Jr., both of Ripley; daughters, Mrs. Naomi Fisher of Ripley and Mrs. Norma Thompson of Charleston; a foster daughter, Sandra Snyder of Hermitage, Tenn., and a foster son, William Keebaugh of Ravenswood; sisters, Mrs. Della Hatcher of Barberton, Ohio, and Mrs. Susan Huff of Chester, W. Va.; a brother, George Bourgeois of Glenford, Ohio; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A son, John, preceded him in death.
