Information: JAMES SWAIN, 70, DIED ON MONDAY - James Monroe Swain, 70, of Belleville, died Monday morning in Camden-Clark Memorial Hosptial. Born in Jackson county, a son of the late Marvin and Mary Mills Swain, he was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist church, the VFW Post in Ravenswood, was a vetern of World War I and a retired lockman of Lock 20.  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ruby McNickle Swain; one daughter, Martha Jane Swain, at home; one step-daughter, Connie Wigal of Michigan; one son, William Sultan, Pittsburgh, Pa.; one brother, Walter Swain, Murraysville; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie .......burial in Mt. Zion cemetery.
