Information: Funeral services for Bernard Oscar Swain were held Sunday at Kimes Funeral Home, Parkersburg with the Rev. Charles Parsons officiating.  Swain, 78, formerly of Murraysville died Friday morning in the Marietta Memorial Hospital.  Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Belleville.  Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late John and Talitha Milhoan Swain, was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and was a retired farmer.  He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Margaret McCauley Swain of Parkersburg; one brother, Harley Ernest Swain of Belpre, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Icie Jordan, Parkersburg and Mrs. Oma E. Smith of Washington Bottom; and several nieces and nephews.
