  <p>Information: Mrs. Joann Paxton Summers, 62, of Rock Hill, S.C., died Thursday, Aug 31, 1989 in Charlotte (N.C.) Memorial Hospital.  She was formerly of Medina, Ohio.  She was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church and York County Literary Association.  Surviving:  son, Jay P. Summers of Chesapeake, Va.; mother, Ruth McCune of Charlotte; step-mother, Margaret Paxton of Charleston, W.Va.; stepsister, Rosilind Fields of Welmitte, Ill.; stepbrother, Johnnie Moore of Charleston; one grandchild.  Service was Saturday at Woodland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Myatt officiating.  Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery, Jackson County.  Bass Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.     </p>
