Information: Jesse T. Stump, 86, of Grantsville, died Tuesday in Putnam General Hospital, Teays Valley after a long illness.  He was born in Calhoun County and attended Cherry Fork United Methodist Church.  He was a retired carpenter and was retired from Godfrey L. Cabot Corp., Sissonville.  Surviving:  wife, Ethel Kight Stump; daughters, Mrs. Ila Williams of Dunbar, Mrs. Estrial Kennedy of Charleston, Mrs. Katherine Burrows of Richfield, Ohio, Mrs. Barbara Kimball of Scott Depot; sons, Albert and Robert, both of Dunbar, Sammy and Harold, both of Sissonville, Donald of Atwater; sister, Mrs. Mattie Thompson of Akron, Ohio; brother, Waitman of Akron; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.  Service was Saturday in Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville with the Rev. Dan Arbogast officiating.  Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Grantsville.
