Information: JOHN W. STONE FOUND DEAD - John M. Stone, 73 years old, and a well known real estate dealer of Charleston and a brother of J. B. Stone, of Ripley, was found dead at his home in Charleston Sunday afternoon.  The funeral services were held at the Noble Long funeral home in Charleston Tuesday morning with Rev. J. M. Knight in charge and the body was brought to Ripley for burial in Pine Hill cemetery.  Mr. Stone was found dead in his room at the Berkley apartments, on Sunday afternoon.  Death, according to Coroner J. E. Roberts, had occurred about 16 hours before Jack King, an employee of the McFarland lunch, saw Mr. Stone sitting still in a chair by the window of his room.  Noticing that after an hour or more no change had occurred in Mr. Stone's posture, his head back and his arms hanging limp, as could be seen from the restaurant, Mr. King notified the police.  An investigation was made and the body was found in the chair.      He had been dead it was believed since Saturday afternoon.  About 2 p.m. Saturday, Mr. Stone had visited the Older Cook drug store and had purchased some medicine.  At the time he remarked to the clerk that he didn't have anything more to do in this world and that he should prepare to do something in the next.  He also said that he was tired, and when the suggestion was made that he go to his room he said he thought he would.  He went there and was not seen alive again.      During the last several years, Mr. Stone was a familiar figure along McFarland street, where his sons formerly operated an automobile supply store and garage.  While they were in business he devoted most of his time to assisting them.  Subsequently, he reentered the real estate business, which he had followed in Charleston for many years, and at the time of his death was in the midst of closing some deals.  Mr. Stone was born at Ripley on March 16, 1863, and resided there until 1916, when he went to Akron, Ohio to engage in the real estate business.  He came to Charleston from Akron in 1926.  He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lilly B. Stone; four sons, Harry K. Stone of Louisville, Ky., R. B. Stone of Dunbar, and Roy B. and Haskell Stone of Charleston; three daughters, Miss Norma M. Stone, and Miss Ann Stone of Charleston, and Mrs. H. C. Chambers of Logan; a brother, James B. Stone of Ripley; and a sister, Mrs. Nancy Pickens of Silverton.
