  <p>Information: Eva ""Irene"" Stone, 82, of Ravenswood, W. Va., died Aug. 15, 2001, at Pleasant Valley Hospital.  She was born July 2, 1919, at Rock Castle, Jackson County, W. Va., a daughter of the late Jesse and Mary Gillispie Thornton.  She was a homemaker, and was a nurse for the late Dr. Dwight Staats for five years.  She was a member of the Rock Castle United Methodist Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.  She is survived by two sisters, Florence Casto of Liberty, W. Va., Ruth Hill of Charleston, W. Va.; several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, the late Orvil Sayre and the late William Arlan Stone.  She was greatly loved and will be missed.  Funeral service will be Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Vail Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Sayre and burial will be in the Creston Cemetery.  Friends may call Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, W. Va.</p>
