  <p>Information: Sybil L. Stephens, 90, of Ripley, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2007.  She was born June 12, 1917, a daughter of the late John Alva and Ona Waybright Whiting.  She was a homemaker, member of Calvary United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ripley Chapter.  Family was very special to Sybil.  She cared for her family as they relocated to many places during her husbands military career.  Survivors include her sons David of Boston, MA and James of Seabrook, TX; sister Eileen Kerwood of Ripley and grandchildren Jesse, Rachel, Matthew, Rebecca and Gregory.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Stephens, brother Ken Whiting and sister Macil LeMunyan.  Service was at Calvary United Methodist Church, Ripley and burial in Grandview Cemetery, Dunbar.      	 </p>
