  <p>Information: COTTAGEVILLE - Margaret Bernadine Stephens, 83, of Cottageville, WV, departed this life, July 6, 1997 at the Ravenswood Care Center, Ravenswood WV, following an extended illness.  She was born May 10, 1914 at Cottageville, a daughter of the late Henry and Stella Ankrum Durst.  She was a homemaker, co-owner of Lone Pine Farm at Cottageville, former co-owner and operator of L. E. Stephens Grocery in Cottageville.  She was a former Committee Woman for the Republican Party in Jackson County, a member of the Cottageville United Methodist Ladies Aide and attended the Flatwoods United Methodist Church near Ravenswood.  Surviving are sons; Lewis W. Stephens and Charles E. Stephens both of Cottageville; daughter, Anna Mae Easter of Cottageville; brothers, Lloyd Durst and Eudell Durst, both of Cottageville; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Stephens in 1979 and several brothers and sisters.  Services were held Tuesday, July 8, 1997 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gerald B. Sayre officiating.  Burial was in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville, WV.</p>
