Information: Samuel W. Boswell, 71, 0f 309 23rd St., Dunbar, died Jan. 7, 1989, in Memorial Division, CAMC, after a long illness.  He was born at Given, WV, the son of the late Wiley Austin and Mary Etta Hanning Boswell.  He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Union Carbide, Institute, with 34 years' service.  He attended First Church United Methodist, Dunbar.  He was an Army veteran of World War II.  He was past president of Kanawha Valley Bowling Association.  Surviving:  wife, Marie Bibbee Boswell; daughters, Terry Lynn Boswell of Dunbar and Sandra Lee Boswell of South Charleston; brothers, Austin Wade and Warren ""Jack"", both of Given; sisters, Mrs. Ora Thornton of Dunbar, Mrs. Mildred Braham of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Mary Don Casto of Wayne.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd and Clyde, and a sister, Aulene Barnette.  Service was Tuesday at First Church United Methodist, with the Rev. John R. Campell officiating.  Entombment was in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens with military rites.  Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, was in charge of arrangements.
