Information: MRS. BOSWELL DIES AT ATHENS - Rosa Carney Boswell, 83, of Leon, West Virginia, died Sept. 19, 1970 at Kimes Convalescent Center, Athens, Ohio after a lengthy illness.  Funeral services were held at the Leon Baptist Church with the Rev. Mr. Leonard I. Underwood officiating.  The burial was in the Leon Cemetery under the direction of the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home.  Mrs. Boswell had been a member of the Leon Baptist Church 47 years, a charter member of the Leon Baptist Ladies Aid, and a charter member of the Leon Temple No. 54 Pythian Sisters.  She was born Nov. 12, 1886 at Given, W. Va.  She was the daughter of the late Mr. A. C. Carney and Mrs. Mary Winter Carney.  Her husband, William G. Boswell, and two sons and two daughters preceded her in death.  Survivors include two sons, Duard Boswell of Denver, Colo., and Charles L. Boswell of Point Pleasant, W. Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Naomi Gainer of Newark, Del., and Mrs. Luella Keefer of Leon, W. Va.; two brothers, A. T. Carney of Leon, W. Va. and H. R. Carney of Belleville, Mich.; three sisters, Misses Flora and Fanny Carney of Highland Park, Mich. and Audrey Casto of Ripley, W. Va; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
