Information: Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Starcher, 63, wife of Abraham Starcher, of Sandyville, were held from the Independence Church Sunday afternoon with Rev. C. W. Pugh in charge and burial was in the church cemetery.  Undertaker Lawrence Ford, of Crow Summit, had charge of arrangements.  Mrs. Starcher suffered a broken hip in a fall last November and was never able to leave her bed after that time.  Last week pneumonia developed and she died Friday morning.  She is survived by the husband and the following children:  Gilbert, Holly, Desperate, and David Starcher, all of Sandyville, Effa Starcher, of Ravenswood, Mrs. Minnie McCune, of Sandyville, and Mrs. Freda Riffle, of Mud Run.  [ Abraham Starcher and Lucy Ellen Timmons were married on March 29, 1893, per Jackson county marriage records ] [Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection]
