  <p>Information: VIENNA - Lorene J. Starcher, 72, of Vienna died January 31, 1999 at St. Joseph&#39;s Hospital.  She was born July 30, 1926 in Cottageville.  She was a retired U.S. Army Sergeant with over 22 years of military service.  She was a graduate of Union High School in Cottageville and Mountain State Business College, Parkersburg.  She was a member of the Wayside United Methodist Church, Vienna, a member of the Philathea Sunday School Class, a member of the United Methodist Women, and was active in many church activities.  Survivors include one brother, Louis E. Starcher of Vienna, and two sisters, Faye E. Starcher Sayre of Vienna and Glenva May Starcher Lewis of Lexington KY.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William Paul and Golda Lorena Hill Starcher and two sisters, Helen K. Starcher Miller and E. Pauline Starcher Hughes.  Services will be held today (Wednesday) 11 a.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Joseph S. Kenaston and Pastor James Kinsler officiating.  Military rites will be presented by American Legion Post 15.  Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery, Jackson County.  Visitation until the time of service Wednesday (today).</p>
