Information: Floyd L. Starcher, widely known Ripley citizen, died at his home here Sunday night at 11 o'clock, death coming several hours after the family and friends had given up all hope for his recovery. He was 72 years of age and had been in apparently good health just a few weeks ago when illness overtook him. Tuesday morning, after a brief funeral service directed by Rev. Fred Slaughter at the home, which in life he had loved so well, his body was borne by friends to his final resting place in Pine Hill cemetery. He was a son of Jacob L. and Marion Starcher and was born October 20, 1862, A part of his life was spent in the South and West, but he returned to Ripley in 1911 and had since that time made his home here and spent a part of his time looking after his farming interest at Gay. On October 2, 1918, he was married to Miss Osia Rhodes, and two children were born to this union. The widow and one child, Mabel Starcher, at home, survive.
