Information: ILLNESS FATAL TO MRS. BOSWELL - Mrs. Wiley Boswell, aged 76 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. T. W. Paxton, in Rockcastle, last Friday after an illness of some length due to her advanced age. The funeral services were held on Sunday. She was a well known resident of that section of the county and had spent her life there where her family was reared. The husband died many years ago. The following obituary was read at the funeral: Martha Atkinson Boswell, born April 3, 1860, departed this life May 22, 1936, aged 76 years, 1 month and 19 days. She was united in marriage to Wiley Boswell in 1877 and to this union was born five children, four of which survive her, Wm. G. Boswell of Leon; Mrs. Ida Staats, of East Liverpool, Ohio; W. A. Boswell of Given; Mrs. Corda Paxton of Rockcastle and one infant son, Okey, preceded her in death many years ago. She leaves her children above named to mourn their loss with eighteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, also three sisters, Mrs. Laura Staats of Charleston, Bettie Burdette of Charleston and Ruth Rowe of Charleston, to mourn the departed and a host of friends. She made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. W. Paxton of Rockcastle, for many years. She became a Christian in early life and affiliated herself with the Lone Oak Baptist church soon after her conversion and lived a consistent christian life until death, always ready to help in sickness and death when her health and strength would permit.
