Information: James Frank Boswell, 83, of Given, Jackson county, died Wednesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Margie Winters, in Ripley, following an illness of one week. He was born Sept. 28, 1877, in Jackson county, the son of the late Ammon and Margaret Rhodes Boswell and was married Aug. 22, 1899 to Callie Pringle. He was a farmer and carpenter most of his life and a member of the Given EUB Church. Survivors include three sons, Revis Boswell, Parkersburg, Estel Boswell, Akron, and Herschel of Nitro; three daughters, Mrs. Gragia Reebel, Finch, Mrs. Collie Dursch, Pt. Pleasant, Mrs. Margie Winters, Ripley; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Given EUB Church with the Rev. John Icenhower and the Rev. Charles Knapp officiating. Burial will be in the Grasslick cemetery, near Kenna. The body will remain at the Parsons funeral home, Ripley, where friends may call.
