Information: Clyde V. Boswell, 74, of Dunbar, died Dec. 22, 1987 at home following a long illness. He was retired from Union Carbide Shipping Department. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Church United Methodist where he was a member of the Crusader Class and the Men's Brotherhood. He was a 50-year resident of Dunbar. Surviving: wife, Bernice R. Boswell; stepson, Robert Pennington of Winfield; brothers, Austin Wade and Otis Warren ""Jack"", both of Given, Samuel of Dunbar; sisters, Ora Thornton of Dunbar, Mildred Basham of Akron, OH and Mary Dawn Casto of Wayne; two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley A. and Mary Hanning Boswell; a brother, Lloyd and a sister, Aulene Boswell Barnette. Service was held Thursday, Dec. 24, 1987 at First Church United Methodist, Dunbar with the Rev. John R. Campbell officiating. Burial was in Given Cemetery. Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar was in charge of arrangements.
