Information: STAATS RITES ARE HELD HERE-SERVICES FOR MRS. HOWARD STAATS HELD AT MOTHER'S HOME - Funeral services for Mrs. Howard Staats, 42 years old, were held at the home of her mother, Mrs. T.I.C. Parsons on North street in Ripley, last Saturday afternoon with Rev. J. R. Withrow, pastor of the Epworth church in charge.  The burial was in the Pine Hill cemetery.      Mrs. Staats had been in poor health for several years and in recent months her condition had become worse, members of the family said.  Last Thursday night about ten o'clock she became critically ill and died shortly before midnight.  Several years ago she suffered a storke and some time ago a second one.      She was a daughter of the late Dr. T. I. C. Parsons and Mrs. Parsons and for a number of years was a teacher in the schools of the county.  She is survived by her husband, Howard Staats; her mother, Mrs. T. I. C. Parsons of Ripley; two brothers, Dr. A. L. Parsons of Charleston and Travis Parsons of Ripley; and three sisters, Mrs. C. H. Maddox of Charleston, Mrs. William Lynch of St. Albans, and Mrs. Gladys DuBois of New Jersey.
