Information: C. P. STAATS, 93, TAKEN BY DEATH - C. P. Staats, 93-year-old Ripley native, died Saturday at the Staats Hospital in Charleston after a six weeks illness. Known better as ""Profitt"" he was a member of the Carpenter's Union for 57 years, was a member of the Knights of Pythias and operated the Staats Junkyard in Charleston for 27 years before retiring in 1947.  A daughter, Mary Elizabeth, at home, and two brothers, Dennie H. of Ripley and Millard F. of East Liverpool, survive.  The funeral service was held Monday with Rev. Hobson Fisher officiating and the burial was in the Fairplain cemetery.
