Information: SNYDER RITES HELD MONDAY - WIFE OF OPTOMETRIST IS DEAD AFTER A LONG ILLNESS - Mrs. W. C. Snyder, wife of Dr. W. C. Snyder, died at her Main street home in Ripley on Friday night after a long illness.  She was 83 years of age. Her condition had been critical for several days and death had been expected.  A native and lifelong resident of Jackson county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Skidmore, she was a member of the E. U. B. church.  She was converted in early 1900 under the Evangelist meeting held at the U. B. church in Ripley.  She is survived by her husband and two grandchildren, William Herbert Snyder of Hollywood, Calif. and Mrs. Herbert R. Elliot of Parkersburg and four great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. V. L. Casto of Ripley. Her only son, Dr. Herbert Allendale Snyder, preceded her in death two years ago. The funeral service was held from the Vail funeral home on Monday afternoon with Rev. L.....officiating, and the burial was in the Fairplain cemetery.      (married January 11, 1900)
