  <p>Information: Virginia Starkey Smith, 75, of Harrisburg, Pa., died Monday, Sept. 21, 1987, at home after an extended illness.  She was born in Jackson County, the daughter of the late Dr. Paul C. and Ethel Dunham Starkey.  She graduated from Ravenswood High School and attended Marshall University and Dennison University.  She received her Master&#39;s in Music from Ohio State University.  She taught music in West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania.  Surviving:  husband, Elton Smith of Harrisburg; brother, Karl Starkey of Ravenswood; sister, Freda Starkey of Ravenswood; nephews and nieces.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Lois.  Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Ravenswood with Rev. James Cunningham and Rev. Ron Stoner officiating.  Private graveside services will follow at Ravenswood Cemetery.  Friends may call at Straight-Tucker Funeral Home, Ravenswood, Friday from 7 - 9 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Dr. P. C. Starkey Library, First Baptist Church, Ravenswood.</p>
