  <p>Information: Funeral services for Roscoe C. Smith, 84, of Ravenswood, Rt. 1, who died Tuesday evening, in Jackson General Hospital, were held Friday at the Vail Funeral Home, Ripley.  The Rev. Paul Morrison officiated with burial in Independence Cemetery.  Born at Sandyville, he was a son of the late Robert and Mary Moran Smith.  A veteran of World War I, he was a retired farmer and member of the Comet United Methodist Church and the IOOF Lodge in Ravenswood.  Survivors include two sons, George Henry Smith of Ravenswood and Dale of Ripley; two daughters, Althea Shockey of Ravenswood and Alwilda Post of Charleston; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.</p>
