Information: Richard Ryan Smith, 18, of Cottageville, WV, departed this life Thursday, August 21, 2008, following injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born November 19, 1989, in Charleston, WV, a son of James O. and Theresa Kelly (Cook) Smith. He was a 2008 graduate of Ripley High School. Survivors include brother Scottie Smith and sister Lawanda Chambers both of Fairdale, WV, and grandfather Hulin H. Cook, Sr. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Ruby Smith, and his maternal grandmother, Barbara Cook. Service at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans, and burial in Jackson County Memory Gardens in Cottageville.
