  <p>Information: Phyllis A. Smith, 53, of Ripley, died Saturday, August 24, 2002, at Jackson General Hospital.  She was born October 12, 1948, daughter of Ann Webb Kirk, Marmet WV, and the late Dennis L. Kirk.  She was a homemaker and a member of Ripley Tabernacle Church of Ripley.  In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Benjamin F. Smith of Ripley; son, Ben Smith of Ripley; daughters, Laura Browning of Nellis WV, Angela West of St. Marys OH, and Rebecca Martin of Ravenswood; brothers, Edward Kirk and Jackie Kirk, both of Marmet; sister, Connie Lawrence of Hurricane; and six grandchildren.  Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 27, 2002, at Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Mark Siers officiating.  Burial in the Smith Cemetery, Station Camp Road, Jackson County.</p>
