Information: FARMER DIES AT HOSPITAL - Martin Smith, 73 year old farmer of Sandyville, died in a Charleston hospital Saturday five days after he suffered a stroke at his home.  He had been in failing health for some time, members of the family said.  The funeral service will be held at the Fairview church today (Wednesday) with the Rev. C. W. Meadows of Red House officiating and burial will be in the church cemetery.  The Vail undertakers are in charge.  Mr. Smith was born at Sandyville on October 4, 1877, a son of George W. and Rebecca Martin Smith.  He spent his entire life in this county and had been a member of the Methodist church for 29 years.      He married Miss Estella Ice, who with the following children survive:  Robert Smith of Leroy, John Smith of Sandyville, Delbert Smith of Sandyville, Jasper Smith of Buffalo, Garland Smith in the Army, Mrs. Georgia Weekley of Sandyville, Mrs. Mary Pursley of Ripley, Mrs. Pauline Bare of Ogden, Utah, and Roberta Smith of Sandyville; a sister, Mrs. Martha Wilcox of Sandyville, 34 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
