  <p>Information: The Rev. Luther Edwin Smith, 80, of Rt. 1, Liberty, died Monday in Charleston General Hospital.  He was a retired miner, last working for Hatfield - Campbells Creek Coal Co.  Mr. Smith was a Baptist minister for 22 years and was a member of UMW.  He was a World War I Army veteran.  Surviving:  sons, Alfred of Liberty, Loyd of Mammoth; daughters, Mrs. Madelyn Turley of Spring Hill, Mrs. Norma Stewart of Tampa, Fla.; brothers, Granville of Charleston, Haskell of Liberty, Oakley of Dunbar; sisters, Mrs. Stella Wolford of Red House, Miss Alpha Smith of Melbourne, Fla., Mrs. Laura Jones of Liberty, Mrs. Irma Proctor of Paradise; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.  Service will be 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Liberty Church with the Rev. U. G. Wolfe officiating.  Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery, Liberty.</p>
