Information: Granville L. Smith, 75, of Charleston died April 15 in Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston, after a short illness.  He was retired from Charleston Sanitation Department and was a veteran of World War II. Surviving:  daughter, Reba Townson of Winston-Salem, N. C.; brother, Haskell Smith of Liberty; sister, Alpha Smith of Melbourne, Fla.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.  Service was April 18 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. William Layne and the Rev. Harold Runyon officiating.  Burial was in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
