Information: Funeral services for Emma Alice Smith, age 82, who died at 5:30 o'clock Sunday morning July 7, at her home near Letart following an illness of a year, were held at 2:30 o' clock Tuesday evening, July 9, at the Letart M. church with Rev. Wilbur Baxter officiating.  Burial was in the Letart cemetery with undertaker Ralph Bush in charge.  Mrs. Smith was born Sept 28, 1858 in Bedford county, Virginia, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Smeltzer.  She was the widow of the late Thomas Smith.  She is survived by the following children: O.J. Bailey, of Akron, Ohio, Minnie Day, of Cleveland, Ohio, Katherine McKinney, of Beckley, and W.H. Sayre, of Akron.
