Information: SMITH SERVICE IS HELD THURSDAY - Funeral services for Elijah Arron Smith, better known as ""Berry"" Smith, were held from the Vail funeral chapel on Thursday afternoon with Rev. Armour Sayre officiating and the burial was in the Fairplain cemetery.  Mr. Smith died at the home of his sister, Mrs. S. G. Lane, here on Tuesday evening after a long illness.  He was 68 years of age.  He was born April 7, 1886 at Evans, and was a son of the late Benjamin and Louisa Sayre Smith.      Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Georgia Smith; a son, Bernard Smith of Ripley; six daughters, Mrs. Lena White, Mrs. Georgia Johnston, Mrs. Glendola Checker, Mrs. Frances Morris, Mrs. Clara Sumpter and Mrs. Carolyn Homic; a brother, Arthur Smith of Cicerone, and a sister, Mrs. Flossie Lane of Ripley.
