Information: Edgar N. Smith, well known independent oil and gas operator, died suddenly Monday at his home near Leon from what friends believed was a heart attack.  He had been ill for the past two weeks, but had not been considered serious and was supposedly well on the road to recovery.  The funeral services will be held this (Wednesday) afternoon at the Morgan church with interment in the cemetery there.  Surviving are the widow and two children, Edgar and Norma; a step-daughter, Ruth Hill; and an adopted child, Linda Sue.
