  <p>Information: Demma Gray Smith was born October 25, 1891, departed this life October 18, 1916, at her home at Winona, Kanawha county, aged 24 years 11 months and 23 days.  She was united in marriage to Wm. Smith of Knoxville, Tenn......17, 1915.  Several years ago she joined with the M. P. church at Fairplain and had lived a consistent christian life to the end.  She was a loving and devoted wife, her highest ambition was to make home happy and to be useful to those about her.  She was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed by her church, to which she was a devoted member; by those who stand for educational training, for she had been numbered among the proficient teachers of Jackson county; especially will she be missed in the home where she ministered with such loving care.  She leaves to mourn a devoted husband and grand-parents and a host of relatives and friends.  The funeral was held Saturday morning at Mt. Calvary by Rev. T. H. Rymer and the remains were laid to rest in the Harpold cemetery.</p>
